Lydia Manning is a comedian based out of Portland, Oregon. This is the second half of the two-episode comedian special. I hadn't really had any comedians until now, and they drove down from Portland to do a show in Eugene so I spoke with them while they were in town!
A former staple of the Wilmington, North Carolina comedy scene, Lydia was a regular opener at the Dead Crow Comedy Room, host in the Cape Fear Comedy Festival, writer/cast member for Wilmington's live late-night talk show, Late Fear with Wills Maxwell, and host of the monthly stand-up showcase, Sips & Giggles. Now a new and unique voice in the Portland comedy community, she is quickly becoming a sought after entertainer, performing throughout the Pacific Northwest. Lydia's comedy is dynamic, smart, and absurd, frequently pulling audiences out of their comfort zones and into her universe. She has been a part of the She-Devil Comedy Festival and North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival, and has performed with some extremely cool comedians, including Jay Pharoah, Mary Mack, and Arj Barker.
She comes on the show to talk about what it's like being a woman in the comedy scene!

Chris Khantami is a comedian and podcaster residing in Portland Oregon. He is the cohost of Spec Script and comes on the show to speak about what's been hot on his mind lately which happens to be largely political. The title is just poking fun at the fact that every comedian show throws out political takes, but in all reality, this show was a blast and he's got some interesting takes on stuff I hadn't considered.

[Update: Episodes will be coming out every 4 days. Due to coronavirus, it's difficult to record shows and I'm doing my best to not record remote episodes with exceptions like this one where the guest is spectacular. As soon as the quarantine is over, episodes will be back to every other day!]
Andrés Gómez Emilsson is a consciousness researcher at the Qualia Research Institute. Previously, he worked at AI companies such as Kanjoya and Klout, with research topics of emotional classification with computational techniques and pragmatics. He founded the Stanford Transhumanist Association while working on his undergraduate degree in Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Science, and later a Masters in Computational Psychology at Stanford.
He comes on the show to speak about pleasure, pain, consciousness., and all of my favorite things! This show actually changed my mind on a lot of things, and he talked me into ordering a SubPac which should arrive next week. Overall an absolute blast of a show and I look forward to recording a show with Andrés in person once the Corona quarantine is over.
